37th Annual Institute

The EMLF’s 37th Annual Institute will be June 12 - 14 at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel & Suites, in the Historic District of Charleston, SC.

Help us plan a great program!  We’re now soliciting topic proposals for the Annual Institute through February 15, and invite you to submit topics and speaker suggestions on a wide variety of topics, including but not limited to the following: oil and gas, midstream, coal, electric power generation and distribution, renewable energy, emissions trading programs, environmental law and regulation, bankruptcy, energy efficiency, energy policy, contracts, leases and other transactions; ethics, land, title and real property; human resources, labor and employment, occupational safety and mine safety and health, litigation, rail transportation, natural gas transmission, pipelines, LNG, power purchase contracts -- whatever issues you would like to see addressed.

Part of speaking at the Annual Institute involves a commitment to write a scholarly chapter of law review quality, for inclusion in volume 37 of the Energy & Mineral Law Institute.  Speakers must also provide written materials at the Institute for distribution to all attendees in order to meet requirements for Continuing Legal Education credits.  The chapter is due at the time of the Annual Institute.  Topic proposals should provide an adequate description of the legal issues to be covered so that the topic can be fully evaluated.

Topic proposals should be sent via email to Sharon Daniels.
