Judges needed this week for the energy moot court
The WVU College of Law is hosting the fifth annual National Energy and Sustainability Moot Court Competition on March 12-14 in Morgantown. We have 25 teams from throughout the country registered for the event, which is our largest field. With the greater number of teams, we have added a fifth preliminary round. »Competition news release
We need judges for the competition, particularly on Thursday and Friday, in Erickson Alumni Center. Because of the fewer number of teams competing on Saturday, our need for judges is not as great but we are still looking for some.
The competition begins at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 12, with three preliminary rounds on the first day. The second day also starts at 8:30 a.m., with two additional preliminary rounds in the morning, followed by the Sweet Sixteen round in the afternoon. Saturday the field is pared from the Elite Eight to the Champion, which will be determined in the final round at 2:30 p.m.. »Full schedule

How to Be a Judge
If you are available to be a judge, please email WVUMoot@mail.wvu.edu or contact Samantha Stefanov at 304.293.0064. If you cannot commit to an entire day, that is fine; we would appreciate even half a day. On Thursday morning, for example, you could judge two preliminary rounds between 9:00 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. For Thursday afternoon, the Judges Workshop runs from 12:50 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., followed by the third preliminary round and a concluding reception. A similar schedule is in place for Friday, with the option of participating for only a half day.
Thanks for your consideration. Please let either Samantha or me (James Van Nostrand <email@example.com>) know if you have any questions. Also, feel free to forward this email to colleagues who may be interested in this opportunity.
