Majority and concurring opinions from the Pennsylvania Supreme Court in the Excavation Technologies case. The court agreed with the position of Columbia Gas of Pennsylvania that Columbia's alleged failure to correctly mark its lines as required by the One Call Act could not support a negligence claim by a contractor who suffered economic losses as a result of the utility's failure to properly mark the lines.It is a significant opinion for both the utilities and the construction industry.
