Abstracting Mineral Titles in the Appalachian Basin
A crowd of 456 abstractors, attorneys and landmen attended the EMLF's March 10-11 programs in Canonsburg, PA, covering Basic Abstracting and Intermediate Title Issues, chaired by Arnie Schulberg, Attorney, Hurricane, WV. Basic Abstracting was taught by Joyce Trew, EQT Producing, Pittsburgh; Tom Lane, Bowles Rice McDavid Graff & Love, Charleston; Leslie Miller-Stover, Steptoe & Johnson, Charleston; Joel Symonds, EQT Production Co., Charleston; James Witte, Glenville State College, Glenville, WV; Ryan Purpura, Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney, Pittsburgh; Nathaniel Hunter, Spilman Thomas & Battle, Pittsburgh; Jonathan Higie and Andrew S. Chumney, Peacock Keller & Ecker, Washington, PA; and Timothy Rounds, Jackson Kelly, Charleston.

Intermediate Issues in Mineral Title Examination was taught by Russ Schetroma, Steptoe & Johnson, Meadville, PA; Sean Cassidy, Cassidy & Associates, Greensburg, PA; Paul Atencio and Bruce F. Rudoy, Tucker Arensberg, Pittsburgh; Justin Rubenstein, Burleson Cooke, Canonsburg, PA; James Adams, The Sadler Law Firm, Houston; Michael Barron, EQT Production, Washington, PA; Tom Lane, Bowles Rice McDavid Graff & Love, Charleston; and Christopher B. Wallace, Attorney, Utica, NY.

The EMLF program was held in conjunction with the monthly dinner meeting of the Michael Late Benedum Chapter of the AAPL. Many thanks to the firm of Steptoe & Johnson PLLC for hosting a pre-conference welcome reception for all Mineral Titles attendees in their new office location at 11 Grandview Circle, Suite 200, Canonsburg, PA 15317.
